A Del Mar, California native, Orion grew up surfing all the San Diego County breaks, skating the Del Mar Skate Ranch, racing BMX, riding MX, pole vaulting, and even had a short stint as a national level competitive bodybuilder. With the exception of pole vaulting, which would just be nuts at his size, these sports are all still very much a part of his day to day life.  Orion can’t wait to get his four little boys hooked on the sports that have given and continue to give him so much enjoyment over the years (plus it gives him an excuse to continue).

Orion received a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University in 1998 and was certified as a public accountant in the state of California in 2000.  Orion began his career in public accounting in 1998 at the Irvine based boutique accounting firm of Glenn M. Gelman & Associates, Inc. where he served clients with an array of services in both the income tax and financial reporting departments.  In 2002, Orion joined the west-coast based accounting firm of Moss Adams LLP where he began his specialization in financial compliance and reporting as well as business consulting with manufacturing and distribution companies which were primarily comprised of action sports apparel, accessories, and hard goods companies.  Orion also gained significant experience with financial compliance and reporting for companies with international operations that have a reporting requirement in the United States.  In 2009, Orion joined the Century City, California based accounting firm of Stonefield Josephson, Inc. as a Partner in the firm’s audit, accounting and business consulting department and was in-charge of the Action Sports and Apparel Industry Practice in the Orange County, California office.

In July 2010, Orion gave into his entrepreneurial spirit and formed Barca Company, Inc. to utilize the technical skills and experience gained over the years both running his own businesses and working at large accounting firms.  He served clients in a variety of industries which enables him to provide a wide array of  personalized, hands-on, business advisory, and accounting services to both individuals and companies… at affordable rates.
